CLASS SCHEDULE

Week 1: Loving Your Spouse God’s Way, Communicating Through Every Season

August 4, 11:30 am, Meeting Room 3

Teachers: Pastor Debbie & Jerry Huber

Synopsis:

LOVING YOUR SPOUSE GOD’S WAY

I Corinthians declares, “Love ALWAYS protects, ALWAYS trusts, ALWAYS hopes, and ALWAYS perseveres.” Really??? Exactly HOW do I do that? How can I possibly love my spouse like God desires? In this session, we will explore practical lessons that will provide an opportunity for a complete love makeover or a simple tune-up for your marriage. We will also provide tools to jumpstart the journey.

COMMUNICATING THROUGH THE SEASONS OF LIFE

Do you ever feel like there “should” be more intimacy in your marriage but you can’t put your finger on what is missing or why?  Are you tired of always focusing on the next task, the next shopping list, or what’s wrong instead of sharing your deepest desires, dreams, and feelings?

In this session, we will explore five levels of communication and three skills developed by best-selling marriage author and expert, Dr. Gary Smalley.  No matter the season of your relationship, you will learn something that will help you move to a deeper level of intimacy with your spouse.

Week 2: Fighting Fair and Walking in Forgiveness

August 11, 11:30 am, Meeting Room 3

Teachers: Deanna & Diondre Hurn

Synopsis:

FORGIVENESS

Forgiving someone who has wronged you is definitely not easy; but, it is absolutely necessary.  Come to this session and find out what forgiveness is and what it is not; find out what may be blocking you from totally forgiving another; and find out how to move from the bondage and consequences of unforgiveness to the freedom and blessing of total forgiveness.

FIGHTING FAIR

Conflict and fighting are not the same thing.  Healthy marriages all experience conflict from time to time; but they will rarely fight. What is the difference? The key is not to eliminate all conflict – unreasonable at best; but, instead to focus on how to handle conflict creatively and in a healthy manner. Come and discover keys and skills to process your conflict so that both spouses win.

Week 3: Crafted Prayers, Declarations for Your Marriage

August 18th, 11:30 am, Meeting Room 3

Teachers: Vance & Laura Dorsey

Synopsis:

Hear from God about your marriage! This class is designed to help you and your spouse craft a God inspired declaration over your marriage and your spouse. Your declaration will become a unifying statement for you and your spouse to stand on when times get tough and to reflect on when times are good.
